Readers Theater
The Company enjoys presenting staged readings of plays and adapted literature designed to spark the imagination and instill a love of literature and the spoken word. Our annual readers theater production, It’s A Wonderful Life, is in the spirit of our holiday show as readers theater.
Other Educational Programs
This season, in collaboration with the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, Theatrical Outfit launches Empowered Youth Entertainment (EYE) Arts “University’” a project to provide quality theater exposure and training to youth in metropolitan Atlanta. This exciting program, which has the potential to develop into a national pilot program, takes place September 2008 to March 2010 at our downtown theater. “EYE University” students participate in workshops that offer approximately 40 students a series of master classes and seminars, acting and scene work classes, and professional arts career preparation classes. They also participate in an extensive Tix for Text program and receive student ticket subscriptions for the entire Theatrical Outfit season. For more information on current group educational programs, contact Whitney Rusert at 678.528.1497.
