Welcome to Rhythm & Revision!
This brand new program – focusing on the intersection of spoken word poetry/performance and new play development – is designed to inspire teens interest in the performing arts and their pursuits in arts-related career fields through exposure, immersion, skill learning, and mentorship. This program will also show participants the value of documenting and sharing narratives inspired by their personal lives and the important skill of shaping rough ideas into art that can be shared with an audience. Rhythm & Revision culminates in a live or virtual public reading of pieces created by workshop participants.
Currently Rhythm & Revision is being piloted with teen members (ages 13-18) of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA). Stay tuned for more information as Rhythm & Revision continues to grow and expand.
