Summer Concert Series

Every Thursday night in July, Theatrical Outfit will host diverse local musicians in our 2nd annual Summer Concert Series.

The Usual Suspects, a dynamic 17-piece big band, will be take the stage on the 7th, playing some of the most popular tunes from Broadway, TV, and the movies: featuring the music of such artists as Henry Mancini, Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Ike & Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Michael Buble, and many others.

July 14th will herald in the Georgia Potlickers, an old-time North Georgia stringband whose music covers everything from the raucous fiddle and banjo tunes of their home state of Georgia to the ballads and frontier songs of the entire Appalachian and Piedmont regions. Also fratured the 14th:Right as Rain.

Described as Americana with a twist,Laura Monk & High Cotton will perform on July 21st, powered by the passionate voice of Laura Monk.

To conclude this simmering summer series, on July 28th, Klimchak will take the stage. Specializing in electro-acoustic music for theater, dance and live solo performance, Klimchak is the winner of the 2009 Loridans Arts Award, given to "accomplished artists who have made exceptional contributions to the arts life of Atlanta.
