2024 HONOREES
Ann and Kent Canipe have been married for over 50 years, and they have one daughter who lives in Salinas, CA with her husband and two children. Kent is almost a native of Atlanta, and Ann moved here after college 50+ years ago. Kent spent most of his professional career as a banker with Truist/SunTrust, and Ann was mostly a professional volunteer (Jr League and Festival of Trees) with some part-time admin/bookkeeping jobs. Both have been involved with their church in various ways. Kent enjoys fitness activities and spectator sports – football, ACC basketball, Braves baseball, and golf. Ann enjoys walking, reading, and cooking sometimes. They were subscribers at the Alliance for 40+ years and saw Tom Key in Cotton Patch Gospel there. They read about Theatrical Outfit and started attending when the performances were at the Rialto. They love the Herren’s site (the Balzer Theater at Herren’s) and all of TO’s theatre productions.
“We love being able to support quality theatre and the opportunities to expand our thinking. We enjoy providing opportunities for others to be exposed to Theatrical Outfit.”
Sandy and Kim Muthersbough moved to Georgia from Texas in 1981. Sandy was heavily involved in theatre in both high school and college, where the couple met through their common interest in theatre. They have been married for nearly 50 years. Sandy worked in Accounting Management with various companies for her entire career. Kim was an inventory planning professional who specialized in supply chain systems implementations. Both are now retired. Kim has been a hobbyist maker most of his life and is an active member of woodworking and woodturning clubs in the area. He recently retired from KSU in the Architecture and Construction Management Woodshop, where he helped students with projects. In their spare time, woodturning is Kim’s passion, Sandy enjoys jewelry making, Zentangle, and both are avid readers. Throughout their lives, they have enjoyed live theatre, been strong patrons and supporters, and were Alliance season ticket holders for many years. In 2009, a friend gave them tickets to Cotton Patch Gospel at Theatrical Outfit. Having never been to TO, they were enthralled with the show and the Balzer Theater. They purchased season tickets for the next season and have done so each year since then.
“We are moved by and believe in the TO mission! When people work hard, do well, and enrich our lives, they earn our support. The ongoing future of this organization is important to us, and we have been compelled to answer the call for financial support because both we and the whole community benefit tremendously from its existence.”
