David de Vries

DAVID DE VRIES* (Dom Claude Frollo) returns to TO having last appeared in Moxie and serving as director of R. Buckminster Fuller: The History and Mystery of the Universe starring Tom Key.  His credits at the Outfit go all the way back to the 1982/83 productions of Elizabeth I and The Royal Hunt of the Sun, along with other memorable shows like Sister Mary Ignatius and Red (Director) and the title character in Freud’s Last Session. He performed with the company of Beauty and the Beast as Lumiere on Broadway, in Canada, and on two National Tours.  He closed the original Broadway company in 2007.  David also spent 3 years with Wicked in Los Angeles, Chicago and the 2nd National Tour as Dr. Dillamond.  He can be seen in recent feature films like The Founder, The Accountant, Captain America: Civil War and Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.  On television, credits include “House of Cards,” “Nashville,” “Halt and Catch Fire,” “Living The Dream” for Sky TV and “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” for HBO.  He is an Audie and Odyssey Award winning narrator for his performance in “Echo” and has voiced over 100 titles, including his Audie nominated performance of the Caldecott winner “A Sick Day for Amos McGee.”
