I'll STAY Home For Christmas: A Virtual Holiday Party

December 21, 2020 at 7PM

This holiday season TO is bringing you a festive virtual event filled with jazz, wine tastings, holiday recipes, and special guests. Put on your favorite holiday ensemble, gather your friends, get out your corkscrew, and join us as we celebrate the holidays!

The evening will feature jazz renditions of your holiday favorites, performed by Atlanta crooner Joe Gransden and pianist Kenny Banks, as well as tastings of three wines from the cellars of R. Stuart and Co. Winery in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, guided by one of their master sommeliers. We will also be offering heartwarming memories of holiday traditions, a special reading by TO’s beloved former Artistic Director, Tom Key, and a couple of other surprises along the way.

This hour-long event is a wonderful way to enjoy the very best of the season from the warmth and safety of your own home, while supporting the work of Theatrical Outfit and our mission to start the conversations that matter in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

Theatrical Outfit is excited to be partnering with R. Stuart & Co. Winery for this special event. Their winery is located in the heart of Oregon wine country, downtown McMinnville. Largely regarded as “the Beaune of the New World”, McMinnville is the ideal location for a production winery, sans vineyards. The wine tasting will include three premium wines:

Big Fire Pinot Gris 2017, Willamette Valley

Beautiful stone fruits meet floral aromatics with this classic Oregon Pinot Gris. The texture is round and supple with an incredible freshness that invites you back to the glass.

Big Fire Pinot Noir 2018, Willamette Valley

Fruit forward and easy going, this Pinot Noir brings rich, yet focused, dark fruit with a lush mouthfeel. 100% Willamette Valley fruit aged 16 months in neutral French oak.

Love, Pinot Noir 2018

This Pinot Noir offers us a bit more body and layers of flavors due to the fact that in addition to our base vineyards of Courting Hill and Tukwilla. It has added single vineyard fruit from Hirschy, Lazy River, Elkhorn Ridge & Daffodil Hill. The result is a bottle of wine that over delivers! Wine Enthusiast, Editor’s Choice
