THE WELCOME TABLE
There are over 3,000 people affected by homelessness in downtown Atlanta alone. Disproportionately black, this population is at increased risk of contracting COVID-19 and experiencing severe symptoms stemming from the virus. As a long standing member of the downtown Atlanta community we at Theatrical Outfit recognize the role we can play in supporting and uplifting this population. Anticipating a rise in those affected by homelessness in the coming months we have decided now is the time to act. TO is partnering with B.L.A.C.T. ATL INC. to present “The Welcome Table” where artistry and service meet. This one night event will connect and inspire our community as we raise money to directly support the front line organizations that serve the Atlanta homeless population. “The Welcome Table” will feature first hand stories and interviews interwoven with music and monologues. A night of service, a night of art, a lifetime of community.
